I'm a London girl, born and bred with roots that span back to the tropical shores of the Caribbean.
Never massively studious as a kid and diagnosed with chatterbox syndrome before the age of 5, my school reports always read, could do better if she worked more and chatted less!
I struggled to read and write when I was a kid, finding my groove with words when I reached secondary school.
Left university with an English degree - which you don't need to be a copywriter [wink].
Taught dance for a few years before landing a sales job in London.
Within 5 years I'd moved from part-time shop assistant to full- time sales exec where I was part of a sales team, working 1:1 with over 120 sales reps in a worldwide organisation raising money to support women and families around the world.
I was cutting my sales and marketing teeth and learning how to use copywriting skills that I still use today.

My first business idea tanked...
I left my corporate job and started a lifestyle blog and online shop selling fairtrade and ethical gifts. I loved the ethos of the business but I didn't like selling products.

10 years ago, I stepped into the world of copywriting and content writing and I haven't looked back.
In the beginning, I wrote marketing material, social media posts and blog posts for clients.
Eventually, I moved into writing website copy, email sequences and sales page copy for aspiring entrepreneurs and small creative businesses.
This is the copywriting playground I love most...
You'll find me elbow deep in words most days of the week while I passionately bring my client's copywriting projects to life.
